SBC has developed a program called Community Connections.  If you are an SBC customer already, this program will help you get better long distance rates and also help COCO.  For every long distance call you make, SBC will give COCO 5% of every dollar you spend.  This is of no cost to you, the SBC customer. 

  Here’s how you sign up:

1.      Call SBC at 1-800-635-7638

2.      The Customer Service Representative will ask you your telephone number including area code.

3.      The Representative will request your permission to access your telephone records.

4.      The Representative will ask you to verify your account by reading the customer code off of your bill, or by giving your social security number.

5.      The Customer Service Representative will ask you for the Group Number for the charity you choose.  The Group Number for COCO is 2749.

6.      The Representative will sign you up and you will receive quarterly statements reflecting how much has been donated to the charitable cause you choose – in this case, COCO.
