Barbara Moshier
Program Supervisor
Barbara began working for COCO in March of 1997 as a
substitute program instructor. When a full time position became
available in August 1997 Barb applied and was hired as a full
time program instructor. Barb
has had the pleasure of working with several different groups,
including white paper recycling, sub contract and community
experience group. She
also was a job coach for 3 individuals at a can redemption
center in Wolcott for 2 years. When a program supervisor
position was posted, she applied and got the job. A job Barb has
held since May 7, 2001.
Previously, Barb worked for other agencies including
Southington ARC as a vocational instructor and residential
instructor for a total of 9 years.
She is also currently employed by CCARC in New Britain as
a residential program instructor on weekends for the past 5
years.
Barb’s entry into this field was as a volunteer in the
workshop at Southington ARC while she was attending Tunxis
Community College.
Barbara’s inspiration to enter this field was her brother
who has downs syndrome. He
has been employed by Aqua Turf for over 12 years.
